Cycloidal Gearbox and Three-Ring Reducer Solutions

KNGEAR supplies engineered cycloidal gearboxes and replacement solutions for compact, high-ratio industrial drives. We also support legacy X, B and JXJ series units and three-ring reducer applications through dimensional review, duty analysis and reverse engineering.

Compact High-Ratio Industrial Drive Engineering

A cycloidal gearbox transmits torque through an eccentric input, cycloidal discs and output pins. Its multi-tooth contact principle can provide a compact reduction stage, good shock-load resistance and low backlash when the unit is correctly selected and manufactured.

For an existing machine, the correct replacement is determined by more than ratio and motor power. Shaft arrangement, mounting interface, output torque, operating cycle, allowable backlash, lubrication, ambient conditions and external loads must all be reviewed.

KNGEAR can evaluate new equipment, retrofit projects and discontinued reducer models using drawings, nameplate data, photographs or measured samples.

Cycloidal and Legacy Reducer Support

X and B Series Units

Selection and replacement support for common horizontal, vertical, foot-mounted and flange-mounted cycloidal reducer arrangements. Existing motor interfaces and driven-equipment dimensions can be retained where practical.

JXJ and Custom Configurations

Engineering review for application-specific reducers, non-standard shaft extensions, special mounting positions and replacement units where the original manufacturer or drawing is no longer available.

Three-Ring Reducer Replacement

Legacy three-ring reducer projects are handled as a separate drive type. KNGEAR checks the internal mechanism, center distances, bearing arrangement and housing interfaces before proposing repair, reproduction or an alternative gearbox.

Information Required for Selection

  • Motor power, input speed and required output speed
  • Continuous, intermittent or reversing duty
  • Driven-machine torque and peak shock load
  • Mounting position, shaft direction and available space
  • Ambient temperature, dust, moisture and corrosion conditions
  • Existing drawings, nameplate photographs or sample gearbox

Typical Industrial Applications

Cycloidal reducers are commonly considered for conveyors, mixers, agitators, packaging machinery, environmental equipment, material handling systems and other machines requiring compact reduction and resistance to intermittent shock loads.

Because application demands vary, KNGEAR does not select a replacement from catalogue ratio alone. Our engineers verify thermal capacity, bearing loads, service factor and connection dimensions before confirming a proposal.

Replacement and Reverse Engineering

If a legacy cycloidal or three-ring reducer is obsolete, KNGEAR can compare repair, exact reproduction and conversion to a modern gearbox. The evaluation may include housing measurement, gear and bearing inspection, material review, ratio verification and alignment checks.

Related capabilities include gearbox reverse engineering and repair, precision gear manufacturing and custom gearbox engineering.
